Bible 101~ On God Sending People To Hell
Okay, let's try for a second question today. We are talking about some common questions asked about God and the answers He provides in the Bible. No other answers will do. Not my opinion or anyone else's. I want you to know that the Bible trumps my opinion any time. Yours, too. It's just what God says! So, the question is: Why does God send people to hell? This one kills me. The way this is worded is a trick from satan! It makes it sounds like God wants people to go to hell, and that is not true. He LOVES us! Hell is eternal separation from God, prepared for the devil and his angels. And yes, angels, lol. That's another question for another day. Stay with me. :) Matthew 25:41 - “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels..." Jesus suffered and died for everyone. Every single person! From the sweetest, kindest, nicest person who you've ever met, to the most horrible wretched sinner that you could ever imagine. Someone who spent a lifetime raping and murdering children, even. Yes, he can get saved. Whether you like that or not. God loves even the vilest of sinners. He wants no one to perish. He died for all. 2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." Don't get me wrong. God is a righteous God, and people will be sent to hell at His hand. But they will have to step over the finished work of Jesus to get there. They have to reject God's plan and His love. They choose to pay the penalty for their own sin. They face the judgment and hell because they've rejected God's gift, which is forgiveness and victory over sin through the precious Blood of Jesus and His finished work on the cross. But that is NOT what God wants! If you have never trusted in what Jesus did on the cross to pay for your sin, trust Him today! This post can help you know how. Please let me know if you do, and I will rejoice with you. You can find the link to the 'contact' at the top right of this page. :)
