First Things First
We have no foundation on which to build unless we see a few of God's truths clearly. Nothing in life makes sense. Nothing else works. Just God's way.
The first truth is a simple one. But everything in life is pivotal to this all important truth. Without it, life is meaningless and empty.
The Bible is the Word of God!
Unless a person accepts this as truth, everything that comes after means nothing. If I were to tell you what God says, what He wants for your life, the logical question would be, "How would you know what God wants? How can you speak for God?" Those are wonderful questions- questions everyone should ask. How can we know what God says and what He wants?

That's it! God's preserved word. “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” ~2 Peter 1:21 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" ~2 Timothy 3:16
I don't know about you, but I want to know what God says! Your opinion might make for an interesting discussion, but when I choose what I'm going to build my life upon, I choose God every time! I settled this for myself a long, long time ago. And everyone must settle this truth in their own heart and life before anything else. Otherwise, your faith is shakable and will crumble.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." ~Hebrews 4:12 Wow! That's what I want. Give it to me straight. Tell me what God wants!
The Bible is the Word of God!
On what do you base your life? How do you know that you are making decisions based on what God wants for your life? First things first- these questions need to be answered. If you choose to deny the absolute authority of the Bible- that it IS the Word of God, then I have nothing else for you. You can go on living you life without God's direction. But for me and mine, we choose to build on the solid foundation of God's Word.
